The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has unveiled the return of its Summer Collective for 2026, a season-long programme of experiences spanning wellness, gastronomy, marine exploration, movement, art, and cultural exchange. Running from June through August, the initiative brings together global talent, immersive island activations, and multi-generational programming shaped around connection, creativity, and discovery.

Set across the islands of Fari, this year’s edition expands the scale and depth of its programming, positioning the resort as a living platform for experiences that move beyond traditional hospitality. Environmental advocates, wellness practitioners, mixologists, artists, surfers, and culinary figures come together through a calendar designed to engage guests with both the natural and cultural rhythms of the destination.

Five Years of Craft, Culture and Connection

June marks both the beginning of the Summer Collective and the fifth anniversary of The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, setting the tone for a month centred around celebration, environmental awareness, and wellbeing. A series of island-wide bar takeovers led by acclaimed names from Asia’s 50 Best Bars, including The St. Regis Bar Jakarta, Punch Room Tokyo, and Bar Sathorn, introduces a more dynamic culinary and cocktail dimension to the season.

Alongside these collaborations, environmental and marine awareness experiences unfold through workshops, excursions, and naturalist-led programming developed in collaboration with conservation partners including the Olive Ridley Project. Visiting eco-journalist Sarah Roberts further deepens the conversation through immersive sessions focused on ocean ecosystems and sustainability.

Deep Blue Presence and Ocean-Led Wellness

Wellness takes on a more immersive dimension through Deep Blue Presence, the resort’s evolving emotional wellness philosophy introduced through the Masters of Crafts: Essence of Balance programme. Led by yoga instructor Anabella Landa, the three-day immersive retreat aligns movement, breathwork, sound healing, and restorative rituals with the surrounding seascape and the rhythms of the ocean itself.

Elsewhere across the season, wellness continues through sunrise yoga, guided fitness sessions, and restorative experiences designed to create a quieter dialogue between body, breath, and environment.

Movement Shaped by the Ocean

July shifts toward surf culture, movement, and marine connection through the return of world-renowned surfer Nic von Rupp, who leads a dedicated Surf Retreat alongside guided lessons and conversations centred around resilience and life in the ocean. The wider programme expands through turtle snorkelling, coral regeneration experiences, shark quests, fitness sessions, and naturalist-led explorations designed to deepen guests’ relationship with the marine environment.

Creative workshops including surfboard painting and eco-craft sessions introduce a more relaxed expression of the season’s ocean-led theme, balancing movement and exploration with artistic engagement.

Experiences Designed Across Generations

Throughout the Summer Collective, Ritz Kids programming remains interwoven into the wider calendar, allowing younger guests to engage with environmental learning, creativity, and island exploration through interactive workshops and ocean-inspired activities. The approach reflects the resort’s emphasis on shared discovery, where experiences are designed to be enjoyed collectively across generations rather than separately.

The Return of the Fari Islands Festival

In August, the Summer Collective culminates with the return of the Fari Islands Festival, transforming the islands into a multidisciplinary stage for art, gastronomy, wellness, and cultural expression. Highlights include immersive beachfront dining moments by Wagyu Mafia, artistic collaborations led by Tomislav Topic, island-wide installations, and wellness activations shaped through partnerships with Bamford and REFY.

Across the season, the Summer Collective reflects a broader evolution in experiential hospitality at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands. One where movement, wellness, culinary artistry, environmental awareness, and cultural exchange are approached not as standalone activities, but as interconnected expressions of island life.
