Ten years ago, Milaidhoo Maldives opened with a vision of luxury that felt distinctly its own. This year, Milaidhoo marks its tenth anniversary with a week-long celebration from 23 to 29 November 2026, inviting guests to experience the people, traditions, and moments that have defined the island over the past decade.
Rather than reflecting on the milestone through grandeur alone, the programme turns its focus towards the elements that continue to shape life at Milaidhoo: the ocean, wellbeing, gastronomy, culture, and community. Together, they form a week of experiences that reflect the island’s enduring philosophy of barefoot informality, heartfelt hospitality, and meaningful connection.
Each day begins on the water aboard Saima, Milaidhoo’s traditional Maldivian dhoni, where champagne sunrise cruises offer a quieter perspective on the surrounding seascape. Guided snorkelling excursions across the house reef and marine conservation experiences highlight the island’s long-standing relationship with the ocean, while coral planting initiatives invite guests to contribute to the future of the ecosystem that surrounds it.
Wellbeing unfolds with equal intention. At Serenity Spa, restorative rituals ranging from breathwork and sound healing to immersive wellness experiences create moments of stillness throughout the celebrations, embracing a philosophy where simplicity and presence remain among life’s greatest luxuries.
Dining forms another defining thread of the anniversary programme. Across the week, guests are invited to experience the diverse culinary influences that have become part of the island’s story, from Maldivian celebrations at Azure and traditional Malaafaiy feasts at Ba’theli to a Japanese-inspired wine-pairing dinner at Chef’s Table. The celebrations culminate on 29 November with a gala evening inspired by the milestone itself, bringing together ten food stalls, live entertainment, and fireworks beneath the Maldivian night sky.
Beyond the anniversary week, Milaidhoo will introduce a series of exclusive experiences throughout 2026. These include A Decade of You, created for couples celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries, and 10 Years, 10 Nights, 10 Privileges, a collection of bespoke experiences personally curated by the Milaidhoo Family.
