JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort will welcome acclaimed mixologist Navjot Singh this June for a three-night cocktail residency shaped around tropical flavour, craftsmanship, and contemporary storytelling. Taking place from 17 to 19 June 2026, the immersive takeover unfolds across the resort’s distinctive venues, bringing one of Asia’s most recognised cocktail programmes into dialogue with the atmosphere and ingredients of the Maldives.

Led by Navjot Singh, Beverage Program Leader at Lair Bar, the collaboration introduces a more experiential approach to mixology, where cocktails are framed not simply as drinks, but as expressions of place, memory, and sensory discovery. Ranked No. 8 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, Lair Bar has become known for blending luxury spirits with immersive narrative and inventive technique.

Joining Singh is Nakul Dev, Senior Bartender at Lair Bar, whose ingredient-led approach draws inspiration from the flavours and produce of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Together, the collaboration brings a layered perspective to the residency, balancing precision, creativity, and a strong sense of regional influence.

Set against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean, each venue introduces a distinct atmosphere and cocktail narrative. At Nikkei Bar, sunset activations unfold through refined tropical cocktails and interactive experiences designed around golden-hour rituals. Wahoo Bar shifts the mood toward a more relaxed beachfront setting, where coastal influences and curated drinks accompany the changing colours of the sky.

The residency culminates at JW Garden through a “Garden to Glass” experience celebrating locally grown ingredients including basil, pandan, and lemongrass. Here, sustainability and flavour intersect through cocktails shaped directly by the island’s own produce, reinforcing the resort’s wider focus on thoughtful sourcing and ingredient-driven experiences.

Throughout the series, cocktails become a medium for storytelling, blending tropical influences, contemporary techniques, and sensory immersion into a programme designed around connection and discovery. The collaboration further reflects JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort’s growing emphasis on curated culinary and beverage experiences that move beyond traditional hospitality programming.
