This Halloween, Velaa Private Island is preparing for a rather different kind of arrival. From 25 October to 1 November, vampires take over the island for The Velaa Vampire Chronicles, an eight-day celebration of mystery, theatrical entertainment and moonlit revelry.
Across the week, the story unfolds through escape-room challenges, haunting train rides, live performances and a Halloween Gala Dinner, while younger guests enter a playful world of their own with Tokey & Friends. Gothic fantasy runs throughout, turning familiar corners of the island into settings for adventure after dark.
Enter the Vampire’s Lair
At the heart of the story is The Vampire’s Lair Escape Room, opening its doors on selected dates from 26 October to 1 November. Guests are invited into the Count’s hidden realm, where a trail of clues and secrets must be unravelled before darkness closes in.
The suspense continues aboard The Scary Train Ride from 29 October, carrying brave passengers through the shadows with vampires waiting along the way. Designed for all ages, it brings a more playful sense of thrill to the island’s Halloween transformation.
When Darkness Takes the Stage
On 28 October, The Immortals’ Stage brings the Vampire Chronicles into performance as Charly’s Angels take over the evening with music, dance and live entertainment.
The celebrations reach their crescendo on 31 October with The Halloween Gala Dinner. Guests are invited to answer the Count’s call in their finest gothic attire for an evening of dining and captivating performances beneath the moonlit Maldivian sky.
Little Vampires Take Over
The island’s youngest guests are drawn into the story too. From 25 October to 1 November, Tokey & Friends become Velaa’s Little Vampires, with Halloween games, spooky crafts and surprises bringing a lighter side to the festivities.
